Voices that shape how we relate to God.
Holy Men of God. Sometimes called saints. The purpose of this site is to provide Biographical and other information on Christian authors. We hope that it proves to be a valuable resource in your research.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but
Holy Men of God
spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost
I have often been bothered by how difficult it is to learn anything about the people who wrote the books that changed the way I think about God. That difficulty is worse for one thread running through this site in particular: the deeper life. It isn't a denomination or a movement with tidy edges — it runs across Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Brethren, Reformed, and non-denominational writers alike, tied together not by church membership but by a shared hunger for a closer walk with God. A thread like that doesn't show up in any library catalog or denominational index; it only shows up once you can search across all of them at once.
This site hopes to become a useful reference for exactly that kind of search — a place to look up Christian authors, men and women, and trace what they actually taught about abiding, the Spirit filled life, Union with Christ not only in death but in life, Sanctification, and the deeper life thread inside their writings. This is not to say I agree with everything they teach, but is instead a source for consideration of what it actually means to walk with God.
